The morning starts with a delicious French breakfast of hot croissants or fresh breads and/or Gugelhupf (traditional Sunday breakfast in Alsace) with la Maison de St Claire organic home made conserves and cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit.
This is followed by an intensive four-hour French lesson, with a morning-tea break.
Lunches (served at 1300) and dinners (served at 1830) are mainly two to three-course meals, with provincial cuisines from throughout France. The type of food is of course, seasonal.
Students have some free-time for an hour after lunch.
Afternoon activities varies, which could include gardening, playing pétanque, French cooking, bushwalking, indoor board-games, swimming in the la Maison de St Claire pool, fruit picking or simply relaxing in this beautiful environment. We encourage our students to converse in French throughout the day, in a very relaxed atmosphere.
Evening activities include watching French movies (subtitled in French), listening to French music or karaoke and french soirees during longer stays.
Daily activities consist of formal French lessons with Gilles in the mornings, one-to-one conversation, role-playing, cooking lessons, pétanque, wine tasting and/or other interactive and focussed activities with Coco and Sylvia in the afternoons; Karaoke, French musicals and cinema in the evenings. Enjoy la Maison de St Claire's provincial French cuisine and soirées.
